The BBC Launcher installation for Mac and Window operating system

The first time you use Blackboard Collaborate, you need to download the Launcher. The Launcher is about 40MB in size, which can take over 10 minutes to download on a slow internet connection. It is strongly recommended that you download this a day before your class, or at least one hour before.

 The instructions on this page are specific to Windows and Mac computers, The Launcher works on Mac and Windows Operating System and with any web browser. 

Download the Launcher

For Window (40MB): BlackboardCollaborateLauncher-Win.msi

For Mac (70MB):  BlackboardCollaborateLauncher-Mac.zip

Install the Blackboard Clooaborate Launcher (Window)

 Click on the BlackboardCollaborateLauncher-Win.msi that has downloaded, you will need to tell your computer to "Run" or "Allow" the program, as shown below:

 
Please wait while the "Windows Installer" loads.When the Setup Wizard begins, click "Next" and "Install". Then, wait until you see that it has finished installing and click "Finish", as shown below:
 
 

Install the Blackboard Clooaborate Launcher (Mac)

Go to the download folder and click on the BlackboardCollaborateLauncher that has downloaded. Click "Open" to begin the installation.
 
 
Click "Move to Application Folder" 
Note: you might asking to login as administrator to continue the install.
 

 
As this application is very small, it only takes few second to install. A pop-up window will appear on the desktop once the installation is complete.
